We had a fabulous day of learning at Shubie Park. We did some quadrat sampling and collected materials to create mesocosms in the lab as part of our ecological field study. Check it out below!

Getting ready to start a new school year! This will be the first year for the newly revised IB Biology curriculum (First exams 2016) so make sure your study materials specify the correct curriculum. Resources will be shared through Moodle and Google Classroom so feel free to bring your electronic devices to class.

Dalhousie chemist Axel Becke has just been awarded the prestigious $1M Herzberg Medal for Science and Engineering which is Canada's top science prize. He has used technology to help predict and explore the chemistry of complex molecules using computer modelling techniques. His techniques are now being used for a variety of uses including the development of medications, nanotechnology and clean energy material development.
